I want to thank you all for your prayers for Pastor Duffett during this surgery. He was "under the knife" for 4 hours and then in the recovery room for an hour and a half.
The doctors are pleased with the outcome. I got a call from my mom this morning and she said that he is doing very well. The therapist had him standing this morning and he took about 4 steps before getting sick. They put him back to bed and have him hooked up to a machine that bends his knees for him.
He is very tired since they don't let you rest much in the hospital. He is looking forward to getting out of there to 1. Save money and 2. Stay with Max & Carol Pool. My parents would love to be home but if they have to stay down there, there is no one they would rather stay with than the Pools.
Again, thank you for your prayers and your notes. The doctor wants Pastor to stay in Texas for at least 6 weeks and we will see what happens from there.
Please keep praying and I will keep you up to date on his progress.

Dear Pastor, Terry and I are missing you every time we are able to get to church. When you are gone, we just miss you and see how our Lord uses you and it blesses us. We will keep praying you will get better each day. We know how painful so many surgeries can be, but when I ever hear someone complain about going to church, I remind them , when you have to stay home because of an illness or surgery for awhile, when you come back, you realize what a great man of God we have and a good church.. We soak your messages up like a sponge. So we miss you terrible but the people here are doing a good job. Isn't God so good to us, we praise Him and give Him all the Glory and trust that you will be back here soon.
