How grateful I have been for Psalm 121. The hills of Fairbanks remind me of the work of the Lord going on in the center of the great land of Alaska, overshadowed by His wisdom, power and wonderful presence.
I heard yesterday of the GREAT SUCCESS of the parade . . . 15,000 pieces of literature passed out in one morning . . . and many of God’s people used to complete the task. Amazing. Absolutely amazing. How humbled and grateful I am to know the work is going on with such success and fruit in the greatland . . . from which cometh my strength; my strength cometh from the LORD which made heaven and earth.
Max Pool and I walked a solid MILE early Saturday morning just before the sun came out. The heat is tolerable then, though the walk is not a power walk. Me and my cane meander our way along the track, slowly, precisely but consistently. We walk the track every day except the Lord’s Day, when we walk into the house of God in company, rejoicing, getting sweet counsel. (Psalm 55:14)
Have a GREAT LORD’S DAY wherever you are, finding a church of the living God to fellowship and worship in. Please do it with great joy, enthusiasm and gratefulness, for this is honoring to our King and Saviour.
In His Easy Yoke,
Doug Duffett

Hi Pastor,
ReplyDeleteSpeaking for myself (although I am sure I am not the only one), I am pleased to continue serving the Lord in your absence in part as a reflection of your wonderful leadership and consistent testimony when you are here. But, please don't ever think things are the same with out you. Missing you and knowing you miss us...and trusting that the Lord will have you back with us in due season. Jackie Gengler
