Someone asked why I would choose the HOT summertime to come to Texas. This was NOT my choice; I was forced into this timing by the crisis of pain and immobility. How much more pleasant to be with the Pools in January, sipping ice tea on their porch early in the morning. Maybe next time. :)
My post-op follow-up appointment with my surgeon is July 17 and I will follow his advice as to the next step. As soon as we know the future, we will pass it on. We are taking one day at a time.
Day by day and with each passing moment,
Strength I find to meet my trials here.
Trusting in my Father’s wise bestowment,
I’ve no cause for worry or for fear.
I have been overwhelmed with the outpouring of love and prayers from our tremendous BBC family. Every day cards arrive in the mail and sometimes by the STACK. Some contain beautifully colored pictures by the children who make up BBC but all include words to sweeten my trial and lift my heart. How I long to sing with you again and to preaching the unsearchable riches of our Great Saviour and His Perfect Word.
Faithful pastors of long standing have asked, “How can you be away from your pulpit for so long?” My answer is always the same: “I thank God for faithful men and our Faithful God.” What a joy to rest in faithfulness.
Great is Thy Faithfulness, Oh God my Saviour;
There is no shadow of turning with Thee;
Thou changest not, thy compassions they fail not;
As Thou has been thou forever shall be.
Psalm 119:24 “Thy testimonies also are my delight and my counsellers.”
We are thankful for you and look forward to your return. We love you and you are in our prayers daily.

Psalm 28:7
A Merry Heart!! You will heal fast and will be back in Fairbanks before you know it! Your in our prayers.
ReplyDeleteI (Connie) had missed a couple of weeks of church on Sundays (because of my health and then having to be out in the fields to get the hay in) and it was so wonderful to be able to go on Wednesday. This past Wednesday, when Bro. Ryan Gray led us in some Scripture songs, what a joyful sound it was to my heart but you were missed very much.
ReplyDeleteYou and Cynthia are continually in our prayers; we are praying that your progress will go by rapidly so we can have you "home" again.

Dad,
ReplyDeleteIt's kinda lonely around here without you and mom. Sad to hear you have to stay longer but I am glad the doctors are taking care of you. I am thankful God gave me such a wonderful father and friend. I love you and I am praying for you every day.
Love your favorite daughter, Emily. (Remember save the best for last :) )
