Replacement

Greetings!

Doctors gave me the injections into my hip joint early Monday morning and I had a wonderful pain-free day. This, said the doctor, reveals that the problem is definitely the hip. His solution is replacement.

I am scheduled for surgery on Monday, June 22, my dear bride’s birthday. I am sure there are a thousand ways she would rather celebrate that day than hanging around a hospital. She and Carol Pool no doubt have a plan. I’ve never heard so much laughter as when Cynthia and Carol get together. It is refreshing. Doeth good like a medicine.

David and Emily joined us Sunday afternoon and Sarah is flying in from Omaha on June 24 for a few days. It is always good to have family near. I am a blessed man and no one knows that better than I. God is good all the time, undeserving as we are.

  5. We're glad you're on your way to a solution, and that all will go as God has planned (and that you're being forced to rest). We'll be anxious to hear an update after your surgery! We'll be praying often!
