Miracles

Our Saviour’s miracles where acted parables. He never spoke to the people without parables. (Matt 13:34)

His miracles were not just to get their attention, but to teach truth. If that were true in the Gospels, then would it not be true today since our Great Saviour is the same yesterday, AND TO DAY, and for ever? When you discover a miracle of God in your life... a supernatural event that can only be explained by God’s power and precise timing... then also take prayerful and Bible time to explore the lessons. We mortals often just rejoice in the miracle, much as the seventy disciples who reported back to Jesus after their preaching assignment, rejoicing that the “even the devils are subject unto us through thy name.” (Luke 10:17)

Now that would be a miracle, when mere men have power over the devils of this wicked world. But they, like us, tend to REJOICE IN THE MIRACLE, forgetting to REVIEW THE MESSAGE. The REASON they had power was because they had POSITION. (Luke 10:20 “but rather rejoice, because your names are written in heaven.”) Do you not see the great value in that, my friend? Do you see how much deeper the fellowship grows when we LOOK FOR THE LESSONS about HIM and about US that He wants us to learn when He works a miracle for us and in us?

As you and I CRY OUT to God in behalf of our dear missionary DAN CASE... let us also review the recurring lessons. God heeds our cries because we have ACCESS to His throne and His heart... access through His precious and powerful blood. Not only that, but He hears our cries because HE CARES... for YOU and for DAN CASE. (Dan is being quickly flown Tuesday to the capital city of Suva, Fiji, due to a high fever and extreme undiagnosed pain.)

We have position; we have access; He cares for us; and He has made a promise. “Call unto me, and I will answer thee (is this not the MIRACE?) and shew thee great and mighty things which thou knowest not (could this be the LESSONS? (Jeremiah 33:3) Are not His promises exceeding GREAT and PRECIOUS?

Promises that He delights to fulfill because His name and reputation are at stake?

Let’s look for and REJOICE BY FAITH in the miracle God wants to do for Dan Case and us... and then also REJOICE in the lessons that He wants to show us about His ways, His words and His will.

Later this morning, I will meet with the doctor about a course of action to solve my hip and knee problems. We are trusting our dear Saviour for wisdom. I will let you know the outcome. God bless you
