Greetings from Fort Worth. Evangelist Freddie Reed once said, “The Holy Spirit is waiting outside every lost person, wanting to get in; and He is waiting inside every believer, wanting to get out” (i.e., To fill and pour out of the believer so that the FRUIT and the GOSPEL can effect others). What a powerful motivation to be about our Father’s business of warning and witnessing to souls. I hope your pocket or purse contains Gospel Tracts ready to be delivered with the spoken Gospel to all who will receive it.
Sarah Greenfield is flying into Fort Worth from Omaha on Wednesday evening to be with us a few days. Of course, I was supposed to be in the hospital. I think I will enjoy the visit much more this way. :)
I spoke with Dr. S. M. Davis yesterday and he has agreed to come to Alaska the end of July. (Many have seen his Bible sermons on video.) We have wanted BBC to meet him in person for a number of years and it looks like God has opened the door widely as he and his wife celebrate their 40th wedding anniversary. Pastor Davis has pastored the same church for 34 years. He will be a great blessing to our BBC family and we will have the opportunity to honor a beloved man of God.
It’s a different world in Texas. The people here are super friendly and very open to the Gospel. Not ONE person has refused to listen and all have accepted tracts, often thanking us for them. Everyone has a water bottle with them... and they are into re-cycling. One church had a can in the lobby labled, “Empty Water Bottles Here.” When the janitor went to collect the bottles after the first weekend, there were NO plastic bottles. But the can was half full of water.
Oh, well.

Hi Pastor,
ReplyDeleteThank you for keeping us updated on what is going on with you and Cynthia. It's good to read your blog - encouraging and challenging words for everyone. Thank you for loving us, caring for us and watching after our souls - even from Texas! You are the BEST!
All is well here. It is cold, raining, wet, cloudy this morning but that's ok - rain smells so good.
Cheri will be SO excited to hear about Dr. S.M. Davis coming to Fairbanks. I'm not sure if I should call her at work or not - she may not be able to focus all day if I do. :)
Please take care - we are praying for you all!
-Kathy-
That was funny, Pastor. It took me a minute, but I got it.
