Many believers have difficulty growing and moving on for God because they cannot get “past their past.” Our Gracious God and Saviour gives hope in every situation. Remember Jacob’s son Joseph and his hurts done by his family and misunderstandings & failures of those in authority over him? What a difficult life he had. But his own testimony in Genesis 41:51: “And Joseph called the name of the firstborn Manasseth: For God, said he, hath made me forget all my toil, and all my father’s house.” Perhaps it was because some things in his past were too painful; perhaps because of the injustices done to a man who strove to do RIGHT regardless; we know not the WHY, but Joseph said this is WHAT happened: God made me forget it. Since God is no respector of persons, surely you could trust Him to do that for you whenever it is necessary. What a Saviour! He who FORGOT our sins is willing to cause us to FORGET the sins of others against us. Amazing Grace. Will you let Him do that for you? Please?
We had a wonderful Lord’s Day in Texas AND in Fairbanks. “Anywhere with Jesus is a house of praise.” I am so grateful for faithful, zealous servants in Fairbanks who love the Lord supremely. May your tribe increase.
Max and Carol Pool introduced us to a young man who had taken a struggling work at Longvue Baptist Church in Fort Worth. Pastor Brian Fisher preached a wonderful message Sunday morning; several were baptized; met a man who had come to Fairbanks and worked construction with North Star Baptist Church in Fairbanks and did “street preaching.”
Sunday night, we returned to Trinity Baptist Church and met the believer who started and operates Old Fashioned Christian Radio Station. He runs it from his home at his own expense, earning some money by selling CDs. He served at Eielson AFB in the 80’s. I think Bro. Chuck Leake shared the link with me years ago; how nice to the meet in person Bro. Michael McFadden, the man responsible for the source of so much good music.
Bro. Ryan and Anita Gray leave today (Monday) for Georgia seeking medical/nutritional help for Anita’s condition. Please pray for them daily.
Tomorrow morning, I meet with my Orthopedic Surgeon to discuss a course of action. Thank you for praying for wisdom. Max and Carol Pool have been fun and encouraging hosts. Pray God will bless them for their many kindnesses to this frail preacher. I am grateful that a wounded soldier is still a soldier.

God bless your soul, Pastor. Your blog today was an answer to my prayer. I am going to ask God to make me forget certain people of my past that I have a hard time with still today, so I can love them like he wants me to. I will pray for you, but I know that God has let this "wound" come into your life for a reason and he will use it for good, because he is good. Actually, he is more than good, he is great! Oh, he is using you, Pastor, because he has a plan for your life, and all you have to do is trust him because he careth for you.
